Botox
What is Botox or Xeomin?
Botox and Xeomin are both the most commonly used non-surgical treatment with over four million injections performed in the US in 2015 alone. Botox and Xeomin are neuro-modulators that are injected into the muscle, causing it to temporarily relax. The relaxed muscle can no longer contract and therefore cannot create a wrinkle.
Neurotoxin injections effectively treat fine lines and wrinkles between the eyebrows, forehead creases, and crows feet around the eyes, and other wrinkles in the upper face region. Neurotoxin injections can also be effective if you have loose skin creating banding in the neck (turkey neck).
Results from Botox or Xeomin can be seen within three to seven days and last for three to four months. Botox requires regular, ongoing treatments to stop wrinkles from returning. We advise our patients book standing appointments for this service, which takes just a few minutes in the office. For deeper wrinkles, it may take several treatments to achieve the desired outcome, or neurotoxin injections can be combined with laser treatments (usually performed at separate appointments) to get a more lasting result. There are very few side effects associated with this injection, but common side effects are temporary muscle weakness, tenderness/redness/swelling at the injection site.
Where can Botox be injected and what can it correct?
Botox is only injected in the upper face but can treat several problem areas.
- The forehead for moderate to severe frown lines.
When you frown or concentrate, the muscles between your brows contract, causing your skin to furrow and fold. Your specialist will inject these muscles to help make frown lines temporarily look better.
- The forehead for moderate to severe forehead lines.
When you raise your eyebrows, the muscles on your forehead contract, causing skin to furrow and fold. Your specialist will inject these muscles to help make forehead lines temporarily look better.
- The forehead for a Botox eyebrow lift.
The Botox® Brow lift is a procedure that can improve the position and shape of the eyebrow and forehead areas and can reverse the signs of aging. Naturally, as we age, the tightness in our appearance begins to fade. Brows are no exception to that, and sagging of one your eyebrows can often cause your forehead to take on the same drooping appearance
- The orbitals for moderate to severe crow’s feet.
When you squint or smile, the muscles around your eyes contract, causing crow’s feet. Your specialist will inject these muscles to help make crow’s feet temporarily look better.

Dermal Fillers
What is dermal fillers?
Loss of facial volume results in sagging skin, sunken orbits, lower cheeks and the illusion of sagging skin. Dr. Dyce can restore this volume, without surgery, in just a few minutes.
Dermal fillers are used to fill lines and spaces, plumping them to increase volume and are most commonly used in the mid to lower face. At Black Creek Medical Consultants, we frequently use dermal fillers in the cheeks, the lines that run from your nose to your mouth (nasolabial folds), the lips, the lines running from the sides of the mouth down to the chin (marionette lines), indentations from scars, or any other sunken areas of the face. When necessary, dermal fillers can also be used under the eyes and in the temples.
The most common dermal fillers are hyaluronic acid- based fillers and include Belotero and the Juvederm family of fillers to include Juvederm Ultra XC and Ultra Plus, Voluma, Vollure, and Volbella. Dr. Dyce’s filler of choice in the semi-permanent category is Radiesse which he uses to achieve a more skeletal or structural change.
There is very little downtime associated with dermal fillers, although the most common side effect is tenderness/bruising/ swelling at the injection site. Very infrequently, a patient can have an allergic reaction to a component of the filler. The expected longevity of any of the hyaluronic acid-based fillers is 9 months to 2 years, and for the semi-permanent fillers you should expect about 18 months to three years of benefit. Results will vary based on the patient and their individual metabolism of the filler.
Where can dermal fillers be injected and what can it correct?
Dermal fillers can be injected in one or many different areas depending on desired results
- Permanent fat reduction of submental area with Kybella
If you’re interested in a nonsurgical way to reduce submental fullness, also known as double chin, KYBELLA® may be right for you. KYBELLA® is a first-of-its-kind injectable treatment for adults with submental fullness that destroys fat cells under the chin to improve your profile.
- Volume restoration in cheeks with JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® XC
As you age, the cheeks may flatten and the skin may begin to sag. This is caused by natural loss of volume in the cheek area, or what the experts call age-related midface volume loss. JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® XC is designed to add volume beneath the skin's surface, which provides lift and contour to the cheek area.
- Facial wrinkles and facial folding improvement with JUVÉDERM VOLLURE™ XC
Dermal filler is injected into the areas of facial tissue where moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds occur, including the "parentheses lines" around the nose and mouth. JUVÉDERM VOLLURE™ XC is designed to temporarily correct facial wrinkles for a smoother appearance to the face for adults over the age of 21.
-Generalized volume improvement for the lower face with RADIESSE
Even if you have never heard of marionette lines, you probably know what they are. These lines that run straight downwards from the corners of the mouth can make you look unhappy. Marionette lines form as facial volume begins to deplete and deeper creases begin to form below the mouth. Fillers injected into this area can make a huge difference on the entire appearance of your face. Additionally, other areas of the lower face can be treated with RADIESSE such as pre jowl folds, chin wrinkles, and the corners of the mouth.

Lip Enhancement
At Black Creek Medical Consultants, we use JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA® XC and JUVÉDERM® Ultra XC to enhance and restore volume in the lips. Both products are s a crystal-clear gel that is injected directly into and around the lips using an ultra-fine needle to temporarily plump the lips for lip augmentation and to smooth the appearance of lines around the mouth. The lidocaine gel improves the comfort of the injection by reducing sensitivity to pain. We encourage our patients to bring in inspiration images before their procedure so we can achieve desired look, shape, and size.

The Y-Lift : the Noninvasive Face Life
NO Incisions • NO Anesthesia • NO Surgery • NO Downtime
The renowned Y LIFT® procedure is a revolutionary patented minimally invasive facelift performed in 30-45 minutes yielding instantaneous, dramatic and natural-looking results. It was famously dubbed the"Miracle 30-Minute Facelift" by Dr. Oz. and was created by Dr. Yan Trokel.
The Y LIFT® is based on the notion that youthful facial contours are shaped like the letter “Y”. If you were to superimpose two “Y”s over the face you would see that one appears wide at the top, spanning the eye & cheekbone region, while the second spans the entire jawline; both narrow down to a point culminating at the chin. As we age, the arms of these “Y” shapes begin to widen steadily downward and resultantly, the face begins to lose structural volume and deflate. This procedure uses dermal fillers to re-build and and rejuvenate structural volume loss. Results last 2-4 years.
This state-of-the-art treatment is new to Black Creek Medical Consultants and we are seeing outstanding results. We strongly encourage interested patients to submit front, side, and profile images to manager@blackcreekmedicalconsultants.com for candidacy approval.
Some patients may need additional submental fat reduction or sculpting prior to The Y Lift treatment in order to achieve successful results.
