What is a CO2 Ablative Laser Treatment?

The CO2 laser treatment is the most intense laser procedure that we offer at Black Creek Medical Consultants. The CO2 laser is considered the gold-standard in skin resurfacing and is highly effective in the treatment of acne scars, sun damage, discoloration, and texture issues. The Cartessa-selected CO2, the SmartXide Tetra by DEKA, is highly versatile and precise. Treatments can target the deeper layers of the skin to stimulate collagen and do so in the most controlled manner to avoid unnecessary downtime.

This procedure is recommended for patients who have scaring, deep wrinkling, or discoloration that a non-ablative laser treatment would not be able to fully treat. While this treatment does have a down time of 2-3 weeks, the results are like a “new skin.”
